Playful in the pasture

The deer came out last night just as it started to rain. I love this picture--not only for the personality of the playful fawn; it also reminds me of an Impressionistic painting and I like how the shapes of the doe and fawn offset each other.

It has been quite a season for fawns, hasn't it? Some of them have dots so white they seem to be lights!

Indeed, it has! It seems like a lot of the does have twins this year. You'd think those spots would glow in the dark they were so bright. Makes me wonder if there's any connection between spots on fawns and vegetation or weather patterns. Thanks for the comment, and happy trails!
